King Bed Carriage House in Mexican War Streets

The place seems new to the VRBO market. Everything in it was new looking and freshly painted. I liked the somewhat industrial loft style. The kitchen was nice, we cooked a fair amount of food in it. The location is great, for me especially that is was close to my daughter's apartment, who we were visiting. Definitely walkable to all the stadiums and downtown, Walking distance to a big grocery store. Also need the train and bus lines. Close enough for easy access to downtown, but far enough away from the truly gritty areas to feel safe. The nearby park was great for strolling and jogging, especially with lots of spring flowers in bloom. It also features the aviary and some large historic buildings in the park. The Mexican War Streets neighborhood is very quaint and historic. Lots of interesting 1800's architecture. Reminds me a lot of the older neighborhoods in Boston. I would recommend it as a good place for couple to stay, it's got a big comfy bed. Maybe good for one kid as well who could sleep on the sofa. It has street level access, but it does have a fairly steep set of stairs to get up to the bedroom and living room. Not really a problem unless you have mobility issues. I would stay there agin if I was going back to Pittsburgh.
